In Loving Memory of
Dr. Faiqa Qureshi
A Life of Service, Compassion, and Faith
This website is dedicated in loving memory of Dr. Faiqa Qureshi, a woman whose life was a quiet testament to service, compassion, and faith.
For more than 25 years, she cared for children and families in Norfolk through her work at Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters (CHKD). As a leader in Pediatric Emergency Medicine and a trusted mentor to young physicians, she brought both excellence and tenderness to her profession. Countless children were treated by her steady hands, and countless families found comfort in her calm presence.
Yet her impact reached far beyond the hospital.
Dr. Qureshi opened her home and her heart to students, residents, and members of the community. She helped newcomers find their footing in Norfolk. She gave counsel generously. She showed up when people needed guidance, reassurance, or simply kindness. Those who knew her remember not only her knowledge, but her warmth, the way she made others feel seen, supported, and valued.
Her legacy lives on in the lives she healed, the physicians she mentored, and the community she quietly strengthened. She served with sincerity and humility, seeking goodness in both her profession and her faith.
We ask that when you visit this page, you remember her in your duʿa.
May Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) surround her with His mercy, illuminate her resting place, elevate her ranks in Jannah, and make every act of care, every word of guidance, and every life she touched a continuous source of reward for her.
Ameen.
